Scoot Boot joins forces with Parelli

A match made in Horse Heaven! Scoot Boot proudly joins forces with Parelli Natural Horsemanship.

Scoot Boot and Parelli Natural Horsemanship have signed off on a co-sponsorship agreement; our joint goal is raising awareness for the humane and ethical treatment of horses—especially regarding training and care. Like Scoot Boot, Parelli is all about “Keeping It Natural”, and Parelli is proud to stand with us as we work together to accelerate the barefoot movement.

A Common Goal

Parelli is recognized as the universal pioneer of Natural Horsemanship, while Scoot Boot supplies its cutting edge equine hoof wear to customers across 90 countries.

The agreement will see us leverage each other’s global networks and collaborate in events, advocacy, and educational programs.

Scoot Boots Put to Use

Parelli has successfully used Scoot Boots for over 8 years on a variety of horses for everything from pleasure to performance.

"Most horse lovers know that horseshoes are a necessary evil. They protect the hoof in some ways, but can destroy the foot in other ways. My quest is to keep everything as natural as possible for the horse. The last four decades have led me to keeping most of my

horses barefoot, but it is important to give them the protection that is needed when we are in rough terrain. I have tried several products, but Scoot Boots are mine and my horse's choice." Pat Parelli

Going Together

Our brand awareness efforts aimed at Parelli's audience will increase interest in Scoot Boots. Horse enthusiasts will likely seek out a Scoot Boot Stockist near them to find the right Scoot size or transition to barefoot. Be sure to grab your Approved Stockist Logos to show your audience you are a trusted Scoot authority.

Success at BFBA!

Two dedicated Scoot Boot Stockists, Urban Horse and The Hoof Boot Shop, recently attended the BFBA event and shared their positive experiences. The event showcased a growing enthusiasm among farriers to incorporate hoof boots into their work. Scoot Boots were the preferred choice among farriers, and the emphasis was on education rather than sales. The need for fitting courses was evident, and discussions about Scoot fitting kit supply were on the agenda. A notable observation was the shift towards embracing hoof boots, particularly Scoot Boots, as a client-driven necessity, signalling the need for farriers to adapt and evolve. Scoot Boots emerged as the popular choice among farriers. Mark, Robbie, and Carolyn's combined knowledge and skills made a strong impact at Urban Horse's booth with Robbie's live demonstrations. Rachael from the Hoof Boot Shop partnered with Rebecca Jobson from Pegasus Farriery in Perthshire, Scotland, to host a live demonstration on Albert the Pony. They created a buzz of attention and interest in Scoot Boots for the Farriers tool kit! Both Rachael and Rebecca believed that a fitting course would become a reality in the near future. In summary, the BFBA event marked a significant milestone in farriers adopting Scoot Boots, with both Urban Horse and The Hoof Boot Shop playing crucial roles in educating and supporting farriers on this journey. The positive reception and farriers' interest suggest a bright future for the hoof boot industry. Scoot Boot & chemical damage

Horses may unknowingly be exposed to certain chemicals, such as pesticides and fertilisers, on the trails, which can leave residue on their Scoots. Certain chemicals will induce hydrolysis, which can deteriorate the boot and straps, causing them to crack and become brittle.

Did you know?
Early Signs of Chemical Damage -
The TPU material used for all Scoot Boot Front Straps is softer than the Scoot Boot shell to ensure proper function. This means that chemical damage is likely to affect the straps first. The initial signs of chemical damage usually appear as brittle straps with visible cracks.
Preventing and Managing Chemical Damage:
  • Regular Inspections: Encourage your customers to inspect their Scoot Boots regularly, especially the straps. Detecting cracking or brittleness early can help avoid further damage to the boots.

  • Gentle Cleaning: To extend the life of Scoot Boots, they must only be cleaned with water. Discourage the use of chemical cleaners or detergents. If any chemicals, like fly spray, come into contact with the boots, advise rinsing them with water promptly.

  • Spare Straps: Remind customers that Scoot Boot includes spare straps for a reason. If they notice chemical damage or wear on the straps, suggest replacing them with the provided spares. Acknowledge their diligence in spotting and addressing a chemical issue early.
